Most of us have been there. The dinner party where an over-enthusiastic guest sends a glass of Merlot flying. The moment when the family dog decides to redecorate your cream-carpeted living room with a walk’s worth of mud and rain. The food that somehow manages to escape a child’s plate and is smeared into the carpet. The grime and dirt that your employees bring to work – and to your carpets and flooring.
The simple fact is, carpets get dirty. From the moment the fitter leaves, you, your family, your visitors, and your pets begin the daily job of making your carpets dirty.
Over most of your carpets’ lifetime your vacuum cleaner will do a pretty good job of keeping them looking presentable, but deep down in the pile your carpets are beginning their own journey to the day they are pulled up and replaced because they’re tired and shabby.
Occasionally, disaster strikes – the wine, the dog, the food – and that’s the moment when you decide the carpet needs a more extensive clean than your vacuum cleaner or a cloth and a can of carpet cleaner can give it.
The sad thing is that you can extend the life of your carpet, save yourself money AND keep your home looking its best by using a professional carpet cleaning service – and it won’t cost you the earth. In fact, compared to the amount of money and time you’d need to hire a carpet cleaner and then do the job yourself without having the expertise to get a great result, it’s actually more economical to use a professional carpet cleaning service.
Getting your carpets professionally cleaned is also kinder on your carpets. It’s not just the dirt and grime that accelerates the ageing process of your flooring, it’s also the harsh scrubbing and washing, and the use of abrasive chemicals that suck the life from them.
Because a professional carpet cleaning service has the experience and expertise that comes from years working with all kinds of carpet types, the impact on your carpet is much reduced. What’s more, it can help to restore some of the life in the fibres, delaying that moment when you have no real option other than to replace it.
If you love your carpet and you really want to keep it looking its best, then it makes sense to look after it. Neglect kills a carpet much more quickly than you might imagine. Your carpets have an average lifespan of 15 years, but on average they get replaced in UK homes after 11 years.
If you’re one of those average UK homeowners and you live in a house for 30 years, you’ll end up replacing your carpet unnecessarily at least once in the time you live there you will not let it become all worn out and old before you call in a professional carpet cleaner. Talking about professional carpet cleaners, have you heard of FastKlean? If you haven’t, then today may just be your lucky day.
We are a professional cleaning company based in London, and in addition to carpet cleaning we offer a wide range of other professional cleaning services from regular domestic or commercial cleaning to specialist services like oven and window cleaning, and stain removal.
Our customers are always amazed at the results we can achieve when their carpets are cleaned by our highly trained and expert specialist technicians. The effect is so dramatic that often their carpets look close to brand new.
Because we offer a completely professional service, our methods mean we’re able to tackle all types of carpet, from the standard and relatively inexpensive to the luxurious high-end carpets that are a centrepiece in your home or office furnishings.
We offer two primary cleaning methods:
Steam cleaning: This is one of the more popular methods of carpet cleaning as it’s designed to remove the most stubborn dirt and stains and is used by most professional cleaners. Steam cleaning uses hot water and chemical which are pumped at high pressure into the carpet pile to remove the dirt and dust.
The dirt and water are then suctioned away, and the carpets are left to dry either naturally or by using blowers. This method is highly effective as it removes a high volume of debris and dirt that may be embedded in the fibres of the carpets.
It’s important that the carpet is then left to dry completely, which means it can’t be used for about 24 hours.
Dry cleaning: This is the second method professionals use to clean your carpets. This method is not as popular as the steam cleaning method, though, because it is a more gentle treatment and therefore doesn’t clean quite as a deeply as steam cleaning, even though it will still remove most of the grime and dust in the carpet pile.
The process involves the use of a small amount of water and a solution of chemicals to clean the carpets thoroughly.
Dry cleaning is the preferred method for cleaning wool carpets or carpets that are made from more delicate fibres. Steam cleaning delicate carpet fibres risks shrinkage and other damage and so we always recommend dry cleaning for these types of floor coverings.
The advantage of dry cleaning is that it takes much less time because it dries far faster. The downside is that it doesn’t get grime and dirt that’s buried more deeply in the pile and so your carpets may not look or smell as good or fresh as those that have been steam cleaned would.
So how much does it cost to bring your carpets back to life?
Below is a list of some of the highly competitive professional carpet cleaning prices we offer (London prices example):

Stairs – per flight | £30 | £50 |

Of course, not all carpets are born equal, so in order to give you a quote that’s tailored to your specific carpet requirements we need to consider other factors, too.
Carpet type: Different types of carpets require different cleaning methods. Synthetic carpets are much easier to clean, while wool carpets may require a gentler approach. The two types of cleaning methods we discussed above are suitable for different types of carpets, and we can always advise you on which method is a lot better than the other. The material type can also determine just how difficult the cleaning process may be. So professional cleaners may charge slightly differently.
Furniture removal: If you need to move your furniture away while cleaning the carpets, then you may incur some additional costs. We advise that all furniture should be removed to provide the best cleaning service and results, but again, it is entirely up to you.
Stain removal: When discussing the flat rate for carpet cleaning, most of the time, stain removal is not included, so if you have any stubborn stains you want to have professionally removed we can discuss that when you contact us and ensure we give you a clear, transparent price and avoid confusion later on.
And remember, not all stains are the same, and some require different removal techniques to others. For instance, removing blood stains is a lot trickier than removing dirt marks.
And then there are the factors you can’t really quantify by price – for example, the stress and hassle that comes from trying to do the job yourself, or the cost of putting things right should you engage the services of a non-specialist carpet cleaning company who don’t achieve the results you were expecting or, worse, who damage your carpets by using the wrong techniques.
FastKlean gives you the peace of mind that comes from our experience and expertise, as well as our 100% satisfaction guarantee. Why not give us a call and see just how easy it is to rejuvenate your home or office carpeting without spending a small fortune?
