  • 1. Please bring your invoice book when you go to do the cleaning because you will need to give invoices to all clients.

    2. Please when you receive an address reply back to us to let us know whether you’ve received it or not and whether you are agreeing to work there or not.

    3. Time keeping - You must be punctual at all times. Please do not be early or late for work.

    4. Friends- Relatives-Children. Please do not take friends or family to help you do jobs, or ask friends or family to do your jobs when you go on holiday.

    5. Telephone calls. Do not use client’s phones. You must not make or receive telephone calls at your place of work. This includes mobile telephones9except when you need to contact this office)

    6. You must not help yourself to food or drink while working unless invited to do so by the client.

    7. Please tell your employer if you break or damage anything.

    8. Never, never cut your hours: you must do the hours for which you are being paid; to take money and then not work the full times is very dishonest and wrong.

    9. Take very good care of keys, and do not put the address on them. The cleaner agreed that in case of losing any keys belonging to Company’s clients she will cover costs of new key to be cut.

    10. Make sure that all gas cooker; gas fires, water taps, electrical appliances (including irons), and lights are switched off, unless otherwise specifically instructed by the client or this office.

    11. Make sure that all doors and windows are closed before you leave your place of work, unless otherwise specifically instructed by the client or this office. 12. The cleaner agrees to be liable for any damages and losses to client’s property caused by her/him while working on behalf of Company for up to £250.00

    13. The cleaner’s first payments will cover any damage in client’s property.

    14. If you will be late for work or cannot attend, you must contact the client or this office immediately you know in order that other arrangements may be made.

    15. You must be in attendance at the place of work specified in The Time and Work Sheet for the full amount of time. You are being paid not only for the work being carried out, but also for the time you are there. If you leave before completing the hours, this will be regarded as dishonest and wrong.

    16. If the client asks you to do extra hours, you must inform this office immediately. Any extra hours worked where agreement from this office is not sought may result in you carrying out work for no payment.

    17. The cleaner agrees to inform the Company immediately of any changes in her/him current address.

    18. She/he agrees to return any keys received from the Company’s clients to the company or the client on the last visit.
  • NOTES TO REMEMBER

    Smoking - Under no circumstances you are allowed to smoke on the client’s premises.

    Security - Always ensure all windows, doors, alarm systems are secured before you leave the premises.

    Bleach - The agency is not insured for damages caused by bleach. If the client insists on using bleach make sure you inform them that there is no insurance cover.

    Ironing - Always check the temperature of the iron against the label care instructions on garments you will iron. If you are not sure start with the iron at a cool temperature. Always ensure that you unplug the iron after use and leave in safe place while it cools down.

    Cookers- Always be careful when cleaning cookers and be aware that you do not accidentally turn on the cooker or gas.

    1. It is essential to form a relationship with your client, without it you will find it very difficult to gain any job satisfaction. If you do not see your client because you have a key, always leave a note for them, even if it is just to thank them for the money. If you want to do a periodic job, maybe clean the windows; leave a note to see if they would like it done. Of course they would! But this shows them your willingness. Also encourage your client to leave a note for you.

    2. When you finish a room always try to leave something in a special way to show them that you have cleaned there. For example after cleaning the bathroom if you fold all the towels in a neat fashion that is immediately noticeable when the client walks in. In the bedrooms “fluffing up” the pillows and in the lounge arranging the cushions. Often the smallest things have the biggest impact, especially if the house is usually fairly clean and tidy.

    3. Ask your client to let you know if something is not to their satisfaction. This is best done as early as possible, and you can then fit your routine to adjust to their requirements. It is a lot easier for them to tell you up-front rather than you to waste your time on something they don’t like or need doing.

    4. Find out if there are items not to touch or things that may be fragile. Check to see if they want their desks etc. to be tidied-up or left as they are.

    5. You may be in a privileged position to help re-educate your clients, obviously tactfully. They may have arrears within their home that are “dumping grounds” (most of us have them) and once you have established a relationship you may suggest that you “blitz” that area. It may encourage tidiness, which will make your job easier!

    6. Honesty is always the best policy. If you damage or break anything make sure you immediately let us and them know and that you are covered by insurance.
