Compact detergent range launched
Category: Washing and Ironing
Procter and Gamble (P&G) is set to relaunch its laundry detergents in smaller sizes meaning domestic cleaners can wash clothing in a more environmentally-friendly way.
The company will repackage Bold, Ariel, Fairy and Daz, according to Marketing Week.
Unilever, one of P&G's competitors, has recently launched its Small & Mighty range which also offers householders compact detergent.
Both Unilever's Surf and Persil have been redesigned in a compact form to save on packaging.
The move from P&G follows its recent campaign that encourages domestic cleaners to wash clothes at 30 degrees C.
In addition, the company released Ariel Excel Gel last month which has been formulated to wash clothes at 15 degrees C.
The concentrated gel ensures that householders need less liquid to clean clothing while the environment benefits as less packaging is used.
