Five per cent of men do laundry

Corinne Sweet, a psychologist, has stated that more men could benefit from doing their own laundry as they are becoming more image conscious concerning their clothing.
Recent figures by Ariel Excel Gel reveal that up to 67 per cent of male householders state that doing laundry is "unpleasant" and "boring".
Just five per cent of female householders said their male partner helps out with laundry.
However, Ms Sweet is encouraging men to get involved with cleaning clothes.
"Men are more style-conscious than ever, so knowing how to look good now includes knowing how to clean their clothes effectively," she told Female First.
"The women in their lives may not have the time or inclination to look after them domestically, so they need to know the A to Z of laundry care."
Figures from a British Household Panel Survey found that women living with their partners did more housework than those living alone.
