Upholstery cleaners urged to use effective vacuums

According to industry publication Consumer Reports, upholstery cleaners should carry out research on the cleaning machines currently available on the market and make sure they only use the ones that have been endorsed by industry specialists.
When carrying out sofa cleaning, professional and domestic cleaners alike were urged to make sure they vacuum all the corners and sides of cushions to ensure that all dirt marks are eliminated.
In order to remove pet hair and other related foul odours from sofas, upholstery cleaners were advised to deodorise the couch by sprinkling it with baking soda and allowing it to sit for around 15 minutes and then vacuum the area.
"Do apply a cleaning product or rent a machine that cleans upholstery and carpet," Consumer Reports advised.
"A do-it-yourself job is likely to yield better results if done before the upholstery becomes badly soiled."
Home owners could also consider employing the services of an upholstery cleaning company to clean delicate household fabrics using gentle but effective steam cleaners.
