Forget spring cleaning, it's summer cleaning time!
Category: Spring Cleaning
While the inside of your house could still do with a bit of TLC at this time of year, chances are you're spending more of your time in your yard or garden as the weather warms up.
So turn your attention to the exterior of your property and get to work with some of our top summer cleaning tasks before it's too late.
Clean your patio
Wet winter weather has probably taken its toll on your patio, with algae and weeds marring its appearance and possibly causing it to feel slippery under foot when it's wet.
Pull out your power washer and blast all that grime and dirt away, and then get rid of the weeds by pulling them out at the roots and using a weed killer to make sure they don't come back. If you really want your patio to look summer-ready, call in the professional cleaners.
Scrub the barbecue
You need to clean your barbecue after each use if you want it to perform at its best, and you should also give it a thorough scrub once a year. If you didn't do this before you put it away last winter, then do it now before the summer barbecue season begins.
Dismantle the appliance and clean all the parts individually, using a scouring pad or a specialist barbecue brush to remove burnt-on grease and rust. You should also take this opportunity to examine all the parts for wear and replace any that are damaged.
Wash your outdoor furniture
Whether your outdoor furniture has been in storage all winter, or whether it's been left outside, it'll probably need a thorough clean prior to use this summer.
A sponge and some warm, soapy water should do the trick, along with a bit of elbow grease, although for stubborn stains, bird droppings and rust you might need to use the pressure washer.
