Torquay residents fear clean-up drunks
Category: Party Help
Those living and working in Torquay, Devon have suggested that the task of cleaning up the mess of drunkards should be left to professional cleaners.
Officers on the local force will be handing out buckets and mops to revellers as the make their way home after a night out on the tiles if they are caught urinating in the street.
However, according to tourism worker Darren Kent, the idea is a "total nightmare".
He said: "By handing out mops and buckets they are asking for trouble.
"It only takes one idiot to use the stick part of it to lash out and a policeman or member of the public could be seriously injured."
Meanwhile, Superintendent Chris Singer claims that the message is a serious one, "be responsible for your actions".
