Keep sickness at bay by cleaning properly
Category: House Cleaners
Keeping the person quarantined to just one room and the bathroom isn't enough to stop the spread of infection, as the germs can still spread extremely quickly. In fact, the bathroom is a hive for germs, as they can quickly multiply in a damp environment.
The first thing you need to do is have to hand some antibacterial cleaner or wipes. After the patient uses the bathroom, you need to make sure that you disinfect key areas such as taps, the shower or bath and the toilet.
It's important to pay close attention to door handles and light switches, as all it can take is one touch to pick up the germs left by the person before.
You also want to make sure that items such as towels are kept separate, and those used by infected members of the family are washed frequently. You should do the same for bedding and any other soft furnishings used by someone who is sick, as these will also be a breeding ground for bacteria.
Finally, you should try to keep windows open in the rooms being occupied by someone who is sick, else you're just leaving the germs to spread, rather than letting the fresh air flush out the room.
If you don't have the time to keep to a strict cleaning regime when someone gets sick, then it's time to call in the experts to help you out. Call in a professional cleaner and they can come in as often as is necessary to make sure that infectious bacteria is kept at bay and give you the best opportunity to avoid the entire household being struck down by illness.
