Banish bad odours from your home
Category: House Cleaners
A number of different things can create pungent smells, including rubbish, cigarette smoke, pets and food.
Over time, the causes of these odours can not only contribute to more mess or discolouring of the walls, but the smell can also linger for a long time afterwards.
Of course, the easiest way to prevent these smells is to refrain from smoking inside the home and empty the rubbish frequently.
Some people even encourage pets to stay outside where appropriate or open the windows more often.
However, this alone may not be sufficient to make your home as fragrant as it should be.
What you will find, though, is that a regular cleaning routine can keep these odours at bay and keep your home looking, feeling and smelling fresh.
It's also important to deep clean at least every six months and wash your soft furnishings such as cushion covers and curtains. A steam cleaner is great for these, but you may want to pop them in the washing machine too.
It can be useful to keep odour-eliminating spray handy for all of your furniture, as it's the items made of fabric that will be retaining any odours. In addition, make sure that you vacuum regularly to remove as much dirt as possible from your carpets.
Finally, a scented candle or plug-in air freshener can keep the place smelling great - especially if you have guests visiting.
However, cleaning so thoroughly on a regular basis can be arduous, so if you really don't have the time, then you probably need to call in the experts to give you a helping hand. This way, you can be confident that your home will stay smelling fresh at all times.
