When is the best time of day to tackle the house cleaning?
Category: House Cleaners
We're all different, and our motivation and concentration levels can vary throughout the day, which is why there is no ideal time to tackle the house cleaning. When is the best time for you?
First thing in the morning
Many people find that this is the time they have the most get up and go. After a good night's rest you can get out of bed, jump in the shower, eat breakfast and then do a quick blitz of your home before you go to work or start the rest of your day.
Leave it until later in the day, and you may become tired or lose your motivation because of something else that's happened or requires your attention. And of course, many of us prefer to relax at the end of the day, and there's nothing nicer than coming home to a clean and tidy house.
Throughout the day
You can only really do this if you have the luxury of being at home, whether you're working, looking after children or are simply having a day off. By spreading your house cleaning tasks through the morning and afternoon, you can avoid having to dedicate large chunks of your precious time to it.
If you work from home, doing 15 minutes of chores every couple of hours can be a great way to take a break from your desk and get some exercise. If you have little ones, you can help foster good habits by letting them help out with dusting or loading the washing machine.
Last thing at night
Some people find that their energy levels peak in the evening, so if you fall into this category then you may want to save your housework until the sun goes down. The best thing about doing it this way is that you can climb into bed knowing that you won't need to do anything in the morning.
If you have children, you can likely get through your cleaning much more quickly when they're in bed, and they won't be around to mess the place up again as soon as you've finished. Instead, you can pour yourself a glass of wine and relax in a spotless, uncluttered environment.
