Top 3 neglected house cleaning tasks
Category: House Cleaners
It's those fiddly little house cleaning jobs that tend to be neglected, the ones you simply don't have time to do on a regular basis. But go too long without tackling them and it'll take you much longer when you eventually do get around to it.
Cleaning your oven
Most of us will admit that we clean our ovens far less often than we should. After all, it's a grubby, time-consuming task and we can think of much better ways of spending our time than donning the rubber gloves and slaving away for an hour.
However, oven cleaning is far easier and faster if you do it frequently, before the grease and spillages become too ingrained and burnt on. Wiping out your oven on a weekly basis is less of a chore than scrubbing at it madly every six months or so.
Dusting your blinds
When it comes to dusting, shelves, table tops and TV cabinets are a big focus. After all, we can easily see dust building up in these areas and when we only have time for a quick clean before the in-laws pop round, it's better to concentrate on what you think people will notice.
Yet dust and cobwebs can accumulate quickly if you have blinds, particularly those with horizontal slats. Running a feather duster over them before you vacuum is an easy way to keep them looking their best, and it'll only add an extra 30 seconds or so to your home cleaning routine.
Cleaning your car
Your home may be absolutely spotless, but what about your car? Even if you regularly take yours through the car wash, chances are you tend to neglect the interior, even though dust, crumbs and empty packages can very quickly build up.
Treat your car as an extension of your home and make sure you vacuum it out often. You should also wipe down the dashboard, the steering wheel and other surfaces to get rid of dust and germs and make an effort to de-clutter each week.
