Why a little cleaning every day can reduce the burden

But chances are you will soon get fed up of this. After all, the weekend is your time to relax, enjoy yourself and go out to have fun.
So how have you ended up spending hours scrubbing floors and removing stains from carpet?
As soon as the annoyance creeps in, it's easy to fall into the trap of simply not doing it at all or putting it off until the situation gets desperate.
However, you don't need us to tell you that this will only lead to your house getting dirtier and more unkempt.
We'd therefore suggest that instead of blitzing it on a Saturday or Sunday, you simply do some minor chores each evening.
By spending, say, 20 minutes performing a small task, maybe while tea is in the oven and there's not much else to do, that's one fewer job you need to do at the weekend.
By doing a little bit often, you don't need to mark out a huge chunk of your precious free time to do a deep clean of your house.
Maybe write yourself a little list of the small tasks you could do midweek, just to keep on top of the situation, so you know what needs doing and when.
The added bonus is that your house becomes a much more pleasant environment between Monday and Friday, as you won't be letting any mess pile up around you.
Simply doing things such as sweeping the kitchen floor on a daily basis also means you don't have an intimidating cleaning job ahead of you - as you'll never get them in such a state that it takes a long time to solve.
Of course, the easiest option will always be hiring a professional cleaner, so they can use their specialist knowledge and equipment to do a better job of cleaning your home than you could ever manage by yourself.
