Why investing in professional cleaning can save you money!
Category: End of Tenancy Cleaning
During the three or four years they are studying, many will vacate their property on average three or more times during their studies.
For many, the cost of moving and settling into a new house or apartment is an expensive one.
If you are a student, this is probably an experience that you can relate to only too well. The amount of money you will spend on a deposit, and on the cost of moving itself, can be substantial.
This is why it is so important to save money whenever possible. One of the easiest ways to avoid shelling out more than you have to is probably one of the most obvious, and yet sadly, very much overlooked by some.
Taking care of your house and investing in professional cleaning at the end of your rental agreement, will help to ensure that you don’t lose your deposit unnecessarily for failing to observe simple cleaning rules.
Although there are many students who are incredibly diligent when it comes to end of tenancy cleaning, far too many are unaware of exactly what their landlord may charge them for when their rental contract is up.
For example, did you know that neglecting to dust the skirting boards, leaving furniture in a slightly different position than it was in when you first started renting, and failing to ensure that there is no dust behind the radiator have all been used to justify taking a substantial proportion of a student’s deposit in the past?
We have even heard of cases of letting agencies going around a house with a thin piece of paper and inserting it into every nook and cranny of the home, hoping for a speck of dust which can then be used to deduct money from their previous tenants.
Therefore, if you want to avoid being caught out in this way, it is certainly recommended that you invest in some professional cleaning in order to ensure that your rented apartment looks every bit as clean as it was when you found it.
