Keep your bathroom clean
Category: Domestic Cleaning
Just think about it - when you go to someone else's home, you judge the cleanliness of their home on the bathroom. Well, this is the same when you have visitors to your home.
The bathroom is also one of the rooms in your home that is most likely to harbour potentially harmful germs and bacteria. So, with this in mind, it's imperative that you clean it on a regular basis.
The first thing you want to do is use a generous amount of bleach in the toilet. Leave this to work away while you start to tackle the rest of the room.
Move any shampoo, conditioner and shower gel bottles from around the bath or shower, and give each of them a wipe. You might think this isn't necessary, but if you don't do it, you'll notice grime starting to build up.
You should then use a bathroom cleaning spray, or warm soapy water, to scrub the bath or shower. Make sure to focus on the edges, where grime tends to gather. If you have a bath, you may also notice limescale around the base of the tub. Make sure to scrub this thoroughly to get it off. Next, make sure you give the shower head a good wipe to stop any grime blocking it.
It's now time to move on to the sink and do the same, making sure you wipe the taps with a clean cloth to keep them shining.
Finally, go back to the toilet and give it a scrub with the toilet brush. The bleach should have done the hard work by now, so a quick wipe and a flush should leave it sparkling.
If cleaning the bathroom isn't something you fancy though, then getting a professional cleaner in on a weekly basis should keep it in tip top condition.
