Teach your kids to clean up
Category: Domestic Cleaning
Whether it is picking up a trail of toys they have left behind, scrubbing handprints off the wall, or cleaning up a messy room that resembles a minefield, it can very quickly take its toll on your patience.
However, you don't have to do it all yourself. You could save yourself some time if you teach your kids to take on some of the work themselves. But how do you do this?
The most popular way tends to be offering rewards for doing a good job, but you don't necessarily have to do this.
Instead, why not just try setting a good example? If your child sees consistency in your cleaning activities, then they are far less likely to develop bad habits themselves. Your child will model themselves on your behaviour, so by cleaning up after yourself, they are much more likely to follow suit.
In addition, why not try and make it fun?
Kids love playing games, so if you turn the usual cleaning routine into a fun activity then they will want to get involved. Put on some music and dance along while you clean, or award points for the best job.
However, you might find that you barely have time to clean yourself, never mind getting the kids to help out too. If this is the case, then perhaps it's time to call in the experts to help you out.
You can still get the kids to do small tasks to teach them good habits, but by getting the place professionally cleaned, you don't have to worry about falling behind.
