Tricks to make your house stay clean for longer
Category: Domestic Cleaning
Do you have a garage? If you do, then you'll know that the floor somehow creates a large amount of fine dust, which inevitably ends up getting tracked through the house. However, have you thought about sealing the floor?
Garage-floor paint acts as a protective layer, therefore stopping so much dust being generated. It might mean spending a weekend sorting it out and paying for the paint, but think how much time and money you'll save when you don't end up cleaning your carpets almost every day.
You probably keep your cleaning products all in one place, like under the kitchen sink. This can be useful, but it does mean that if you want to give the bathroom a quick once-over then you have to go to the kitchen to get all the supplies. And let's be honest, you probably forgot to grab the one thing you really needed, right?
Instead, you should keep sets of cleaning supplies in a few key locations around your home. That way, when you're in a rush you can just grab what you need and give the place a quick scrub.
You probably have a doormat - most of us do. We wipe our feet when we come through the front door to stop any dirt being brought in and trodden into the carpet. Unfortunately, this doesn't always work.
A good trick is to have a doormat both inside and outside of the door. This will pick up double the amount of dirt and decrease the likelihood of nasty stains appearing on your nice clean carpets.
The best thing to do though is to hire an experienced cleaner to help you out. With the best equipment and skills to get your house sparkling, the effects will last much longer. By getting someone in fairly regularly you can be sure that your home is always looking its best.
