Clean your computer before the Contract Cleaners come in
Category: Contract Cleaning
Writing on journalstar.com, Lorene Bartos offered a few tips for cleaning the computer, before the Contract Cleaners come in, which she points out can actually improve the functionality of the technology.
The first thing to do is to turn off the computer, unplug it and disconnect the keyboard.
Compressed air can be used to clean between the keys, she advises, and spraying from an angle will better dislodge any dust and grime stuck in the equipment.
Turn the keyboard over and shake it to dislodge any crumbs and loose dust. A surprising amount of gunk will be dislodged at this point, so it is best to carry out this procedure over a bin.
Use a cloth with some all-purpose cleaner on it to wipe down the keyboard, and make sure it is completely clean before reconnecting.
Antibacterial cleaner is a good idea for wiping down the mouse, particularly in cold and flu season, she notes - and don't forget the mouse pad.
This whole process means that after the Contract Cleaners have been in, everyone's desk will be sparkling.
