Natural cleaning solutions for your home

However, there are easier and cheaper solutions than stocking your cupboards with all the latest spray cleaners and varnishes. In fact, you could already have everything you need in your kitchen cabinets to leave your home gleaming.
Natural and gentle ingredients can be just as effective as chemical cleaning solutions, ensuring your home looks good and reducing the number of synthetic products your family comes into contact with.
Here are some great options for home made, natural cleaning solutions:
Baking soda has a lot of uses but one that can make your life easier is its ability to leave your oven spotless. Simply mix baking soda with water to create a paste and spread it over the bottom of your oven. Leave it for a few hours or overnight and then simply wipe it away, along with all the grime!
Another effective cleaner is salt. It can be mixed with baking soda and white vinegar to create a great cleaning solution. This will get rid of soap scum and dirt left in your shower and bath, as well as on your tiles. You can even clean grouting with this mix and a toothbrush!
Lemons are also great for cleaning and leave your home smelling amazing, especially as they combat the smell of ingredients like white vinegar. You can make an all-round cleaning solution - it can be used on glass, worktops and even floors - by filling a jar or bottle with lemon peel and pouring white vinegar over them.
Pop the lid on and leave the bottle to one side for 3-10 days before straining the liquid into a spray bottle and using it as your go-to cleaning solution.
Of course, if you don't have time to clean your home, let alone make your own cleaning products, you can call in the experts to get your house in order.
