It's time for a January house blitz
Category: Carpet Cleaning
With the gifts that you need to find a home for, along with taking down the decorations and the tree, there's so much to do before you can even think about a proper clean.
Unfortunately, many people find that their carpets have suffered over the festive season. From the influx of guests throughout the house bringing in the mud from the terrible British weather, to the inevitable spillages of food and drink, your carpet has probably seen better days.
Not to worry though, you can get your carpet looking as good as new again with a bit of attention. If you just have a few small stains, then you might be able to remove them yourself. They are, however, best tackled immediately.
A wine spillage especially should be attended to as soon as possible. You should blot the stain with a cloth, removing as much of the liquid as you can. If it dries then add a small amount of water to the cloth to help to soak it up. Make sure you don't scrub it though, as this will spread the stain and make it worse.
If mud has got on the carpets, then this is best left to dry. It will then solidify and should be vacuumed up fairly easily. A brush can be used to loosen any bits that are clinging on to the fibres of the carpet.
For the best job, a carpet cleaning firm is ideal. They have all of the necessary equipment to tackle the stains and can get the entire carpet looking as fresh as possible.
