Get rid of those shoe stains on your carpet
Category: Carpet Cleaning
The inevitable rain, mud and snow of the colder seasons is a nightmare for keeping our carpets clean. This can be even worse if you have children and pets. All it can take is one afternoon walk and your carpets can be ruined.
The most common things to be traipsed in from outside are mud prints, wet stains, chewing gum, and unfortunately animal droppings.
If you've suffered mud stains on your light coloured carpet in the past, then you already know how difficult it can be to get these out. At times even impossible.
You don't need to panic though. If you hire a carpet cleaning company, then they are fully trained professionals who have the necessary equipment and cleaning materials to get your carpet looking as good a new.
It would be savvy though to try and minimise the risk of getting mud on your carpet in the first place. Make sure you have mats at the entrances to your home to wide muddy feet and paws. Take off shoes before you reach carpeted floors, as mud is much more easily cleaned off laminate surfaces.
By doing this you can minimise the amount of mud that will make its way into your home. It can be much more difficult with animals though. If the entrance to your home has laminate flooring, then by putting up door gates you can prevent your pet from running onto your cream carpet before you've had a chance to clean them up.
These precautions should reduce the amount of stains your carpet suffers, meaning you can enjoy a professional cleaning service just every few months to keep your carpet looking as good as new.
