Cleaning make-up off the carpet
Category: Carpet Cleaning
The key is to remove it as soon as you notice it before it gets a chance to set. Of course, for many women, getting make-up on the carpet is almost inevitable.
Most women can relate to accidentally spilling nail varnish on the carpets while doing their nails, or dropping mascara onto the floor.
However, if you act quickly, you can prevent it from becoming a permanent feature of your carpets.
Before you can begin cleaning your floor, here are some things that you will need:
Some rubbing alcohol. Alternatively you can get household ammonia or polish remover.
Start by scooping up as much of the make-up as possible, if it is a liquid-based solution.
You should then start dabbing a small amount of whatever solution you have brought onto the cloth. Be careful not to soak the area or rub too much of the solution in as this is likely to make the stain worse.
Continue to blot at the stain until it is gone completely. After that, you will then need a dry cloth.
What you should then do is blot the stain again to soak up as much of the moisture as possible.
After that, simply leave it to dry overnight, and the carpet should be looking as good as new.
If you do not have any rubbing alcohol to hand, you might want to try a mild liquid detergent in some hot water.
Whatever soap you can find to hand, just use the same technique.
For really tough stains, you may need to enlist the help of a good carpet cleaning company. Enlisting the help of professional carpet cleaners can help your carpet look as good as new in no time.
