Instead of tucking into a grilled feast, employees at the firm's London offices were forced to call the fire brigade, the Daily Mail has reported
A spokesperson for the company explained that as part of its policy it provides its staff with free food.
However, during yesterday's barbeque day a fire started, although it is not yet clear if the grill used to prepare the food was the cause.
"There was no serious damage to the building and thankfully no one was hurt. We're all back in the offices now," the spokesperson told the paper.
The company is renowned for its staff-friendly work policies, but like other firms that have parties in their offices, they may be tempted to employ a cleaning company to tidy up.
Against all expectations, the England cricket team decided not to throw a wild party to celebrate its Ashes win and in the process saved itself the cleaning bill.
