A group of teenage volunteers in Swindon are preparing to clean up their local streets this summer as part of the Community Action Project.
In a role reversal, commercial cleaners look set to enjoy the sunshine in relaxation while the volunteers busy themselves with their noble cleaning services.
Kate Steel, a youth worker leading the project, told the Swindon Advertiser that the aim had been to try and make litter picking "fun".
She said: "Young people sign up as part of the project, as it's something they want to change themselves - it's their area. We have people across spectrum, and some are new to us.
"Yesterday they were all wearing boiler suits as they were painting."
The new cleaning initiative follows another major clean up by local councillors last month, which they claim helped build community relations in the area.
