BAU Projects Study Case
In July 2015 Fastklean were approached by BAU Projects with a request for a site assessment and valuation of a project they were carrying out in Bond Street, London. They contacted us based on recommendations they had received.
Our Senior Account Manager visited the site and met with the Project Manager and Site Manager. It was a 6 story commercial building undergoing complete refurbishment for an office accomodation for over 700 employees.
The service required was a complete after builders clean of the entire building as well as a sparkle clean before hand over. BAU Projects had already invited a number of commercial cleaning specialists but none were able or willing to provide a service tailored to their requirements. The work had to be carried out at specific times whilst the works on other floors were still ongoing.
Our proposed approach and bid was successful as we had the capacity and flexibility to accomodate their exacting demands.
We proposed a 3 stage cleaning process to ensure that cleaning work progressed at a similar timeframe as all other works on site. The bespoke cleaning service involved builders, after builders and sparkle cleaning of the entire building which included:
- Cleaning of all ceilings and walls
- Cleaning of all surfaces, skirting boards and floors
- Cleaning of all windows
- Cleaning of all kitchen areas
- Cleaning of all bathrooms and toilets
- Cleaning of all reception areas, entrance reception and communal areas
- Cleaning of all lifts, stairwells and banisters
We had to organise and arrange the service at very short notice and begin our cleaning services within 24 hours of receiving the instruction to start the works.
Being a long established company with over 250 experienced cleaners on our books and established systems and procedures in place we could prove through Our Investors in People award and ISO 9001 Quality Assurance accreditation we are the right company for the job.
The mess, dust and dirt left behind after the builders had completed their refurbishing work made the cleaning process extremely difficult and complex. Dust and debris literally covered every inch of the floor, walls and ceilings. Despite this, our skilled operatives had the experience, expertise and specialist equipment to ensure the newly refurbished office premises were spotless and ready for the offices workers to enjoy their new surroundings.
As building work was still ongoing, we took great care to ensure that all our cleaners undertook their activities professionally with all Health & Safety procedures acknowledged and properly followed.
In addition to the dedicated Account Manager appointed to ensure performance targets were met, our onsite-supervisors were present at all times to co-ordinate works and monitor the standard of cleaning on the premises
Our team of 6 cleaners and an on-site supervisor completed the agreed cleaning service within the 2 week time we had been given.
