Parents can get their kids involved in domestic cleaning chores by making it fun to do, according to Maids Home Services.

While no match for any London cleaning agency, making use of children can help with day-to-day tasks.

Window cleaning can be made into a game by filling a water pistol with a mixture of water and soap and asking them to squirt at glass surfaces and dry them with a cloth.

Clearing up toys can also be fun.

The cleaning agency advises parents to offer their child a selection of cooking tongs and challenge them to put their toys into a box using only the kitchen utensils.

Meanwhile, children on an estate in Halifax have offered their services in cleaning up a park and play area alongside volunteers and council staff, reports the Halifax Courier.

It is hoped the clean up operation will encourage investment in the area's play facilities.
