Oily and greasy handprints need no longer be the scourge of the domestic cleaners, following the unveiling of a new product from Armor All.

The Heavy Duty Hand Wipes are specially formulated to remove oil, grease and dirt from skin after some DIY or car repairs.

But where the grubby stains of labour have previously made sofa cleaning a nightmare, this new product will ensure that every last spot of dirt is prevented from making the journey indoors.

Meanwhile magazine EurotaxGlass claims that using thorough upholstery cleaners for a car can add up to £600 to the value of the vehicle when it's sold on.

Chief car editor Jeff Patterson told Totally Motor: "A thorough wash and polish and a comprehensive interior clean can really improve a vehicle’s appearance and add hundreds to its value in the private market."
