A major clean up operation in Isleworth has improved conditions for residents and commuters in St John's Road, Hounslow, according to authorities.

Window cleaning has removed graffiti from shop fronts while new CCTV has been fitted and litter collected in a major clean up operation by Hounslow Council.

Councillor Phil Andrews explained that the clean up operation had made a massive difference to the local community.

He said: "These clean-ups make a massive difference to the local community, and I would like to thank all of those partners who joined in this mammoth effort.

"The feedback from residents and retailers has been extremely supportive, with people commenting how safe they feel as a result, especially commuters who use the alleyway to the railway station."

Meanwhile, seeing commercial cleaners make such a good job of the area may well encourage residents to take advantage of cleaning services in their own homes too.
