It is hoped that the coatings will complement the work of commercial cleaners that have come under increasing pressure to rid hospitals of superbugs such as MRSA. Commenting at the John Moore, Liquid Plastics' business development manager for hygiene, said that the new range will help provide hospitals with an "extra defence". The coatings are suitable for use on walls, interior ceilings as well other surfaces. They will also continue to function even when scratched or knocked. Meanwhile, it emerged recently that 24 people had died in a single year from superbug clostridium difficile in Scotland. ![]() |
