There are environmentally friendly methods to domestic cleaning that can be done with ordinary household appliances, it has been revealed.

Kitchen appliances made out of stainless steel are one such example, according to News OK.

Cleaning cutlery and the like is rarely seen as the job of cleaning agency domestic cleaners, but one reporter has suggested using common kitchen products such as vinegar or even olive oil to give your cooking implements a self service.

Mixtures of soda water, vinegar and oil with warm water or detergent may even work better than some shop bought cleaners.

However, even domestic gods are not professional cleaners, so to avert any unwanted accidents it is worth trying concoctions on small areas first to avoid disaster, advises Chris Jones.

Alternatively, homeowners can relax and put their feet up and employ house cleaners for the job - particularly if it's an end of tenancy cleaning treat.
