However, while more than three in five indicated that maintaining good hygiene standards were important, less than half (47 per cent) said that desks were cleaned daily. Some 11 per cent said they were never cleaned at all, suggesting that many places of work may be in dire need of a thorough office cleaning. Peter Cohen, chief executive of the PHS Group plc, says that he hopes the results will improve office cleaning habits among businesses. "We hope the results of this survey will inform and support the business community in reviewing hygiene policy and practice, to the benefit of attendance levels and productivity," he explained. ![]() |
