The new detergent is comprised of plant oil derivatives rather than chemicals and produces less toxins than other laundry cleaners, reports Biz Journals. Scott Farmer, chief executive officer at Cintas, explained that the company was keen to proactively meet the environmental needs of its customers. The Eclipse product is already used widely by commercial cleaners throughout the US and Canada. Recent research conducted by scientists at the University of Washington found that many popular laundry products contain potentially harmful chemicals that are used to provide the cleaners with a pleasant scent. Often, in the US at least, these chemicals need not be listed on the ingredients label. ![]() |
