Worcester city police Sergeant Timothy Watts described how events unfolded in the Telegram and Gazette. He said: "The family was cleaning out the house as a result of a death. While cleaning, they discovered a military ordnance." However, much to the relief of the family, the offending article was removed from the house without need for detonation. Meanwhile a farmer in Gloucestershire in the UK had a similar scare recently when he discovered an unexploded bomb in his back garden while digging up potatoes. ![]() |
