An inspection revealed fat on the floor of the kitchen and dirt and grease on the walls and food preparation surfaces, all of which could have been cleared up with the help of a London cleaning agency. Chichester District Council Barrister Edward Hand told the court that customers' safety had been compromised. He said: "Food safety regulations are there to protect the public and this was a fundamental breach that warranted immediate prosecution. "I ask you to consider whether the defendants have put profit before safety." The two had both been publicans for more than 16 years and their use of appropriate cleaning services and techniques has never been questioned in the past. Meanwhile, writing in SheKnows, Sarah Wassner Flynn notes that kitchen tiles can be cleaned with a simple eco-friendly scrub made from baking soda, castile soap, vegetable glycerine and essential oils. ![]() |
