Conservatories are in vogue, window cleaners hear

Window cleaners are likely to have been deployed to a house that has a conservatory, as one interior design expert insisted they are currently all the rage.

George Bond believes more people are now opting to add the extensions to the back of their abodes and he said there are a number of measures that can be taken to make the most of the extra room.

Window cleaners could see a lot of homeowners installing mirrors on the back wall of their conservatory. This is not down to a sudden surge in the number of vain people living in the UK, but a ploy to make the area look much bigger.

Mr Bond also advised people to avoid dark and brash colours when decorating, instead going for softer shades that brighten up the space.

"I just love conservatories - they are very much an in thing at the moment. I would just say make the most of the space, make it as big as you can," he commented.

Cleaning companies may be needed to tidy up more conservatories in the future, after Graham Lock of Housenetwork.co.uk said they are a good way of gaining extra space without moving house.
