Consumers buying steam cleaners used by Cleaning Companies
21/02/2012
Cleaning Companies often use high-tech steam cleaners in a bid to get their clients' houses squeaky clean, and now it looks as if Brits are cottoning on too. While Cleaning Companies are no doubt the way to go for that professional finish, homeowners can keep their houses spick and span in the meantime by investing in a steam cleaner.
Last year, JML launched a range of high performance steam mops, and the Shark range proved to be a massive hit with customers.
According to JML, sales of steam mops have doubled in six months at retailers and online as consumers trade in the old fashioned mops for more high-tech gear.
The latest version of the steam clean mops, which some Cleaning Companies are likely to use, function by rapidly heating up water to produce steam.
This steam is then applied to the surface or carpet at a high pressure, resulting in a dry steam which easily gets up dirt, grease, bacteria and even dust mites - making it a great option for allergy sufferers.
Dearbhla Mac Fadden, JML's brand manager, said: "Cleaning is driven by innovation and technology so it's great to see Shark replacing mops and messy buckets of water. And it can clean your floor in less than 30 seconds."
