When your wicker furniture needs a more thorough cleaning, a good cleaning choice is to use Murphy’s Oil Soap or other similar cleaning product. Vacuum away any excess dirt or debris using the soft bristle brush attachment on your vacuum. To clean all the nooks and crannies, use a new toothbrush, paintbrush or other brush dipped in your cleaning solution. For those hard to reach places, a pair of tweezers can be extremely helpful. A quick spray with the garden hose to remove soap residue or stubborn dirt is okay. Remember that using too much water is not good for wicker items. Excessive water will cause the wicker to lose its strength and become weak and saggy. Mix one gallon of water, one cup of chlorine bleach, and a tablespoon of mild dish detergent.
